Division of Natural History
Division of Natural History conducts research, and collects and conserves literature and specimens of animals, especially birds. It also conducts ecological researches of seabirds, studies of birds through DNA analyses, and so on.

Division of Avian Conservation
(Bird Migration Research Center)
Division of Avian Conservation conducts research on bird migration. It also conducts conservational researches of endangered species such as the Short-tailed Albatross Phoebastria albatrus and the Okinawa Rail Gallirallus okinawae.
